Poker Rules

1. Players are responsible for always protecting the content of their hand.

2. All conversation at and around live poker tables must be conducted in English.

3. One player per hand. No player or spectator should ever attempt to view another player’s cards or influence another player’s actions.

4. Players are expected to treat all patrons and staff with respect. Abusive or threatening language toward anyone will not be tolerated.

5. Players may not talk on the phone while at the table. Phone use such as texting or browsing the internet is permitted only when a player is not participating in a hand.

6. All poker games are table stakes. A player transferring to a game of the same stakes must leave their full stake in play. A player who returns after cashing out must put their full stake back in play unless 1 hour has elapsed.

7. Players are required to always act in turn. An out-of-turn declaration will stand as that player’s action, if the correct order of action does not result in a bet, call, or raise first.

8. Deliberate forward motion with chips determines a commitment to placing a bet.

9. String betting is not allowed.

10. Any verbal declaration of a bet will supersede the simultaneous movement of chips.

11. A tabled hand at showdown will speak for itself. All pots awarded at showdown require a live hand to be tabled.

12. A misdeal will be declared any time the cards were dealt incorrectly, prior to multiple actions being made. Exposing the first or second card of the deal, exposing 2 cards on the deal, or discovering 3 boxed cards during the deal will result in an immediate misdeal.

13. A player must possess the proper quantity of cards to be eligible to win a pot. If multiple actions occur before the player declares their hand is illegal, the ineligible hand will be mucked, and the rest of the table will play the hand to conclusion.

14. A player may call the clock on another if excessive time is taken to act. A supervisor may impose a 1-minute timer with a verbal countdown for the final 10 seconds before the hand is dead.

15. Any player dealt into a hand may request to see a mucked hand at showdown. If the requesting player is eligible to win the pot, the hand in question will be live upon reveal. This rule is in the spirit of game security. A player abusing it to gain information may have the right revoked.

16. Verbal contracts during betting are prohibited. All actions must be taken organically, in turn, and without knowledge of what another player plans to or agrees to do.

17. Players must maintain a chip stack that is visually discernable to other players. The largest denomination chips should be on top or in front of the player’s stack.

18. Straddles are permitted “under the gun” or on the button, with precedence for “under the gun”.

19. “Rabbit hunting” is prohibited.

20. All players must be seated as instructed by a supervisor or another authorized employee.

21. Prior to being paid out, all jackpot hands must be reviewed by a supervisor.

22. The supervisor’s decision is final. Any situation not specifically covered by the rules above will be resolved in a manner considering fairness and the best interest of the game as top priority.
